I loved this wall covering which I saw in the Icelandic restaurant, Fish Market, one of the best restaurants in the capitol of Reyjkavik. Yes, the food was great but what kept my interest was this tableau across the room from us.
The covering is simply strips of raw silk fastened onto a board in graduated cools. Simple but cool!
I love the way the strips of raw silk are left with their ragged edges. Really adds texture and dimension to the piece.
How great does this look with the contemporary Beat lights from Tom Dixon?
I can see it as a work of art, a headboard or even as panels on a door for a closet. What would you do with it?
