Did you have a chance to visit the Spirit of Christmas Fair for 2016? It always sets me up for the Christmas season. Even if it is always in early November which is technically before Thanksgiving, I’ve been living in London long enough to let this timing slide. On the plus side, you do get to do a whole lot of your Christmas shopping done before everyone else starts the mad rush at the stores. Moreover, you get cool things that you won’t find anywhere else AND you are supporting small independent retailers.
I’ll show you some of my favourite exhibitors in the coming weeks. Here, first a preview of the fair itself to get you into the Christmas spirit! There are always so many pretty ornaments at the Spirit of London fair! I love that lots of creatives take the time to make something special that you won’t find at your nearest department store. The ornaments range from everything from traditional wood and glass to hipster faux rustic. I am partial to the occasional sparkle myself too.
As for the colors of the fair this year, usually I am not a fan of bright pink and white because it is just so girly. I think this works really well in this setting though. Pink and white and silver – so very pretty! The snowflakes and stars theme keep it from becoming a giant Quinceanara party.
If you are travelling into London to visit the Spirit of Christmas Fair (as many people do), here’s a handy list of central hotels.
