This is why we love summers on the Cape…
Our little bolt hole of a summer house was built a few years ago on the island of Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts. On the plus side, it’s been relatively maintenance free which is important if you live across the Atlantic. Not so good, it’s lacking in character. I’ve never really felt motivated to get the paint brush out in the summer. Maybe this year will be different….
- A typical shingled colonial house
- The rear yard backs onto the woods.
- The kitchen is small but functional.
- All neutral and sparsely furnished.
It’s summer 2013 and I’ve made more progress on the plans for the renovation this time.
