I have a minor obsession with show homes even when I am on vacation. Let’s check out some Orange County, California style that I discovered in a series of three luxury model houses I saw recently. They are all very similar in some ways, for example lots of outdoor living areas and the open plan living. Yet, they are all decorated differently so they give off a different vibe. So I bring you three posts showing the Real Homes of Orange County. This house was furnished in the rough luxe style – lots of texture amidst truly luxurious fabrics and furniture.
Let’s do some vicarious California living shall we?
Courtyard
The main part of these houses are geared towards the back. You know people will live in the privacy of the rear of the house.

I was surprised by the massive kitchen and all the dining spaces in this house. Looking at Southern California women, I can’t imagine they eat very much. On the other hand, maybe it is just a place to put olives and cocktails.

A guest bedroom that anybody would want to visit.

Outdoor Living
My favourite part of this house is how open the space felt. The beautiful French doors slide back to let the outdoors inside. You get a feeling of spaciousness with this blurring of boundaries. I bet this would be such a great party pad!
You can’t have a SoCal home without a pool.
